The Greer RESIDENCE

The Greer Project is an exploration in the use of space and its stimulation of cultural memory. The original envelope and configuration of the lot only allows for vertical expansion. in effort to expand and enrich the day-to-day living experience of the Greer family, a more open spatial organization was produced. The entire west wing of the house, kitchen and dining, is open and reorganized.

The vertical expansion adds to the east and west wings: two bedrooms, a playroom, bathrooms, and  a master suite. The organization creates a core that will connect the entire program-new and old, horizontal and vertical. essential to the modernization of the space is that the core becomes central for living and family activity space. The exposed structure, spatial organization and light create the elements of stimulation in the greer family's living environment.
